Beijing: Yesterday afternoon in the Australian Embassy in China, Premier Lu Kewen and Xi’an Municipal Mayor Chen Baogen appeared a memorandum signature ceremony concerning strengthening of culture and originality industry cooperation between Australian Trade Committee and Xi’an Qujiang New District, and also had a genial talk. Mayor Chen Baogen presented a complete set of << Four-part Civilization>> to the Australian Library and the Australian Trade Committee presented a project of constructing an Australia gardens sight to the Xi’an Daming Palace Region. 

    At the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Australia Premier Lu Kewen arrived in Beijing yesterday morning and started four days formal visit. In the same day afternoon, Premier Lu Kewen and Rui Jierui, the Australian Ambassador in China as well as Ms. Jan. Fulordun, the Curator of Australian State-run Library etc. all together appeared the signature ceremony and met Chen Baogen, Xi’an Municipal Mayor and Duan Xiannian, Assistant to Xi’an Municipal Mayor.

    This memorandum is aimed at strengthening broad exchanges between China and Australia, especially in cooperation of culture and originality industry aspects. The signature ceremony was highly recognized by both country governments. Premier Lu Kewen had a genial talk with Mayor Chen Baogen and his party at the ceremony.

    First of all, Mayor Chen Baogen particularly presented the history and culture of Xi’an to Premier Lu Kewen and his party. He said, in recent years, Qujiang New District moved ahead in China in culture industry and originality industry aspects along with increasing momentum of reform and scale of international exchanges. Especially, the Daming Palace Relic Site Preservation and surrounding environment reconstruction project undertaken by Qujiang New District received the participation of Australian organizations, attention of Australian Trade Committee and also aroused the interest of Premier,
